What is Roll on and Roll off?
Japanese Used Cars are exported to over 60 countries across the globe, and in every instance except for Trinidad, they are shipped fully assembled. This means they drive onto a ship, and drive off the ship at their final destination. This driving on and off of the ships, the same way NEW cars are imported, has been dubbed " ROLLON - ROLLOFF".

why you need Japanese used cars?
The government traffic regulations in Japan are very strict with no exception. All vehicles from new have to be regularly maintained / serviced up to three years old. After a vehicle is three years old, it is required to have a 'Shacken Inspection'. A Shacken test is graded on a vehicle's cc rating. when vehicles get to about two and a half years old it's value will start to decrease greatly in Japan. So the Japanese consumer tends to start disposing of these vehicles from two and a half years old with limited mileage. What happens to these cars, well the Japanese don't seem to want them, that's why there is such a great market for late low mileage models.
